Week 4

This was my last week of doing the inversion method for my 20 Time project. I measured my hair on the last day and it turns out my hair only grew half of an inch since last week. It makes me wonder if the coconut oil wasn’t warm enough, or if I didn’t massage my hair enough in circular motions. Even though my hair didn’t grow a full inch, I’m glad it grew a little in length. After doing the inversion method for a month, I’ve noticed that there are some flaws to growing your hair an inch a week. People have different hair types, so that also could be a reason why my hair didn’t grow as fast. Before I started the project, my hair was 26 inches long, and now my hair is 27 1/2 inches long. I made some progress and there was success. I recommend trying the inversion method for a week to see how fast you can grow your hair. I hope you guys can benefit from the inversion method too!

Week 3

Week 3 made me curious because I measured my hair, and it seemed to only grow half of an inch. Since my hair grew one inch last week, I thought it would grow an inch again, but it didn’t. I’m following all of the right steps, making sure the oil doesn’t get too hot and kill the nutrients in the coconut oil. I’m not sure as to why it did not grow an inch, but maybe I should have a set time that I do the inversion method everyday, instead of randomly at any time during the day. Even though I was a little disappointed that my hair didn’t grow an inch, I have one more week, so hopefully this week my hair will grow one inch.

Week 2: Hair growth

After week 2 of the inversion method, I noticed some results on my hair! After I washed my hair for the day, I measured it and it grew one inch! I was definitely happy to see some progress. I kept using the coconut oil and massaging my scalp everyday while making sure to have my head inverted down further than I did before. Using the inversion method seems to be working now and I wonder how week 3 will turn out.
The only downside of this project is having greasy hair, but at least I can wash it out.

Week 1: Inversion Method for Hair Growth

Hey everyone, my name is Isabel Rivera and this is my 20 time project on hair growth. I was scrolling through YouTube one day and I found this video entitled “How to grow an inch of hair in a week”. I’m really into hair care and the title sounded intriguing so I started watching it. This young girl was talking about an interesting phenomenon called the inversion method. All you need is a natural oil, such as coconut oil, and what you want to do, is invert your head upside down, put the coconut all over your scalp and massage your scalp gently in circular motions for four minutes. Inverting your head upside down causes the blood flow to increase which stimulates hair growth. With this all in mind, I decided to try this out for myself.

After week 1 of doing the inversion method, I noticed my hair didn’t seem to change in length. There could have been two problems with why my hair didn’t grow. Maybe I didn’t invert my head down far enough, or it could simply be because when I measured my hair before starting the inversion method, it was wet, and when I measured my hair after week 1, it wasn’t wet. Anyway, I am still going to try this inversion method to see if it works.
